Naija Chase is a game and a work of fiction. The crimes, thieves, victims, businesses and events in it are imaginary. Nothing in the Service is advice of any kind.

1. Fictional characters and events

All thieves, suspects, witnesses, victims, cases, stories, dialogue, businesses and organisations in Naija Chase are products of imagination. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, or to real events, companies or institutions in connection with a crime is entirely coincidental. No real person or organisation is accused of, or associated with, any wrongdoing by the Game.

2. Real places and culture

The Game uses real Nigerian states, the Federal Capital Territory, cities, towns, landmarks, festivals, foods, industries and cultural references so that it feels true to Nigeria. They are used for setting and entertainment only. The fact that a place, institution or tradition appears in a fictional case does not suggest that crime occurs there or that anything in the story actually happened.

3. Fictional businesses and brands

Airlines, transport operators, vehicle makers, shops, market stalls, venues and other businesses that take part in cases are fictional or generic. The Game does not show any real transport company or vehicle brand carrying a thief or taking part in crime. If the name of any real business appears, it is unintended and unconnected to any real business.

4. Accuracy of information

We work to make cultural, geographical and historical details accurate, but Naija Chase is a game, not a reference work. Information may be simplified, incomplete, disputed or out of date, and some details are adapted for puzzle design. Do not rely on the Game for study, research, journalism or any decision. Please check authoritative sources, and tell us at [email protected] if you spot a mistake.

5. Not travel advice

Distances, travel times, fares, budgets, modes of transport, opening hours and routes in the Game are simulated for gameplay. They do not reflect real conditions, real prices or real schedules, and are not a guide for planning a journey. Do not use the Game to plan travel or to judge whether any real place or route is safe.

6. Not affiliated with authorities

Naija Chase is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by the Nigeria Police Force, any other law-enforcement or security agency, any government body, or any state or local authority. Ranks such as “Inspector” or “Chief Inspector”, and terms such as “warrant” and “arrest”, are game mechanics only. They do not confer any real status or powers. Please do not use them to represent yourself as an officer, or to imitate or mislead anyone.

7. No professional advice

Nothing in the Service is legal, financial, medical, security or other professional advice. The Game does not teach, and should not be used as a guide to, committing or investigating real crimes. Real emergencies should be reported to the proper authorities.

8. No real-money prizes

Naija Chase is not a gambling product. Ranks, points, tokens and rewards exist only inside the Game and cannot be exchanged for money or anything of real value.

9. Availability and technical limits

The Service depends on the internet, your device and third-party systems, and may be interrupted, slow or unavailable. Animated scenes are shown in 3D or 2D depending on your device’s ability. We are not responsible for lost progress caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, although the Game saves automatically and we will try to restore any loss we can.

10. Links and third parties

The Website or Game may link to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

11. Relationship to our other policies

This Disclaimer should be read together with our Terms of Use, which limit our liability, and our Privacy Policy. If you have questions, contact [email protected].
